Comissions

Do you take commissions?

Heck yes! I love working with people to make their idea come alive.

Keep in mind that I will only paint commissions in my signature style (or something similar). This is my preferred style because I enjoy the painting process and this aesthetic. Being very comfortable with this particular painting method also ensures I can give you an accurate quote because I can accurately estimate the level of work it will require from me.

I will not paint human portraits, landscapes or realism. Sorry, if that was your vision but I’m sure you can find another artist that would be happy to help!

What is the commission process like?

Just email me and I will guide you through the process.

We will discuss:

  • your ideas

  • price point

  • size

  • colours

  • timeline

  • reference photos

  • if you would like to be involved in the creative process, updated regularly or if the final piece will be a surprise

  •

I will request a deposit of 20% before I purchase supplies for your piece.

Your complete piece will be accompanied by progress photos so you can see the entire creative process.

If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask!

Send me an email with what you have in mind and I can give you a quote on your specific project

Shipping

Will you ship?

Yes! Plus any purchase of $200 or more is shipped anywhere in Canada for free!

Returns

Do you accept returns?

Redbubble and Society6 process all returns on their print on demand products.

I have never had a request to return an original painting so I do not have a formal return policy.  This is because my products are high quality and the purchase process is transparent.  I make sure you are fully aware of your purchase by listing the dimensions and sending as many pictures as required before you make a purchase.

I want you to be happy so if for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase please contact me and we will work something out.

Commonly Asked

How long does a painting take to complete?

I don’t keep track of the actual hours spent on a painting… To get this effect the background aura is very time consuming as each layer needs to dry before adding the next layer and the detail work can take a significant amount of time. I also have a tendency to work on more then one project at a time to avoid getting mentally stuck…this makes it very difficult to keep track. If I considered only time spent painting a painting takes approximately 8-50 hours depending on size, quality of the reference photo and amount of detail required.

In terms of total duration, it depends on a number of additional factors such as my current personal and professional commitments.

What can I expect from a painting?

Each painting is varnished for durability and comes wired to hang.

Each original painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

Do you sell your own prints?

No.  I have a few prints that I sell at art shows but in general I do not sell my own prints.

Society6 and Redbubble offer high quality print in demand services.  This means they only create an item when you order it.  This reduces cost and waste for the artist.

When you make a purchase the company sends me my pre established  cost (similar to a royalty).

Payments

What payment options do you have?

Cash, credit, debit and email transfer.

I am registered with Paypal and Square to allow me to accept credit and debit payments.
